It is not necessary to move trap machines around a field to change target presentations. Turning or tilting a machine is often enough to substantially change the look and flight of a target.

This simo pair was going straight away from the right with the pair flying slightly right to left. Now with the machines in the same place on the right, the simo pair is quartering right to left, their flight angle and pitch are approximately the same with one bird high and one low.
