The Technoid’s contribution to this discussion is equally basic. Protect your eyes and ears. Most sporting clays ranges require eye and ear protection. It is mandatory. Everyone has been very good about this, but it always bears repeating. Yes, we know that our British cousins seldom wear eye protection when shooting, but that’s their concern. We won the war and prefer to take care of ourselves.

The Technoid also recommends that you wear a cap of some sort. Caps give protection from flying pieces of clay target as well as keeping the sun out of your eyes. The donning of a genuwhine Big R Ranch cap virtually insures a higher score both in the salon and out in the field.

And now for the monthly dose of Technoidal numbers: 1200, 17, 32, .729, .040. Hike!
