Dear Sultan of Shotguns:
First, I live in the state of Michigan and have been looking for a good gun fitter that I can trust. I would like to have my gun properly fit. My gun is a Browning 12GA Ultra XS Skeet. Yes, I have tried talking to other shooters at my gun club and at least up until this point have not had any luck finding a trained fitter.
What should I expect from a gun fitter?
What is the proper way to be measured?
Is a try gun required to get a proper fit?
Can you explain in detail the procedure to properly fit a shotgun?
How much can I expect to pay?
Yes, I can explain it all, but it would really be much easier if you just called Brian Bilinski, Fieldsport, Traverse City, MI 49684, tel: 231-933-0767. They are on the web too, http://www.fieldsportltd.com/.
Brian is a very experienced fitter and can fill you in on all the details on the phone. Every fitter works in a slightly different way, so Brian will tell you how he does it.
Please give Brian my regards and tell him his Kemens are ready to go.
