What book(s) would you give to a new shooter? And, what books would you give to an experience shotguner as a gift?
For both a new and experienced shooter, I really like “The Orvis Wingshooting Handbook” by Bruce Bowlen. For an experienced shooter, I still think that Bob Brister’s “Shotgunning, The Art and Science” is marvelous even though it is a bit old. For gun reviews and what to buy, I humbly offer my own “Shotguns on Review: 38 Guns Tried and Tested”. Then, of course, there is the classic Robert Churchill’s “Game Shooting”. That’s always worth a read and his “Churchill Method” of shooting is still used today. Amazon has everything.
