    I believe that if a face has to jammed down on a shotgun stock then the stock does not have enough cast. If the cast were to be adjusted the face could be placed firmly but not jammed to the side of the stock and achieve perfect alignment with the rib, the resultant comfort in shooting pays its dividend in higher scores, less flinching, more enjoyment and less gun changing. This I know to be my truth. Your truth is your own business.
